I would like to wish you happy 4th of July on the 3rd.
Here in Ripley, we are celebrating today.
I got up early, dug our first red potatoes from our garden and made potato salad to go with our hot dogs and hamburgers.
Went to Ripley to watch the parade. Kind of a family ritual, I guess. The entire town and more visits Ripley on the 4th of July.
Happy 4th from me. . .
my husband, Charley. . .
our mayor. . .
our congresswoman. . .
Ronald McDonald. . .
and, I don't know who these guys are, but they look like they are enjoying themselves.
and we have to fly the colors of WVU. . .
Happy 4th...and God Bless the USA!
Amen!
ReplyDeleteHappy Independence Day to you and your family, too!
Looks like it was a fun day for all!!
ReplyDeleteDo you live in a small town? It looks like it was so much fun!
ReplyDeletePotato salad....now I'm hungry!!! Your mayor looks a lot prettier than ours! (ours is an old man)
ReplyDeleteDigging those potatoes really brought back memories of my childhood. My mother always made creamed potatoes for us with those first small potatoes she dug. I still remember the look of complete joy on her face when she went out to the garden with the potato hook.
ReplyDeleteLooks as if you had a wonderful celebration for the 4th, Janet! Thanks for sharing your good times with us!
