Vintage Thingies Thursday

I'm a little late getting it posted, but I thought I'd participate in Vintage Thingies Thursday, hosted by Colorado Lady. Go visit and see who else is posting their vintage thingies.

Below is my old hoosier cabinet filled with lots of goodies.

My favorites on the top shelf are the apple cookie jar and the creamers. I got all of these at yard sales, except for the blue cow creamer which belonged to my mom.

On the second shelf are a few of my favorite bowls and a couple of pie birds. I love the little green bowl in the middle.

And lots of vintage fiestaware on the bottom shelf. I love fiesta! The toothpick holder on the left belonged to my mom.

They are so colorful and bright and cheery! The two hidden glasses on the left belonged to my mom. I believe the glass with the yellow boxer on it was a peanut butter glass.

Hope you've enjoyed my vintage thingies.

  1. Whew! Talk about some eye candy there! I love how colorful and 'happy' it is. I like that aqua colored bowl that's just to the right of the little bowl you like so much.
Great collection and thanks for sharing!

  5. Thanks for your comments. Farmlady, I can't let you have that one, it's my favorite, too. I got it at a yard sale and probably didn't pay more than a dollar for it.

  7. LOVE YOUR HOOSIER CABINET AND YOUR DISHES!!!!!!!! My Mom has oodles and oodles of Vintage Fiesta Ware, in fact, those are the dishes we ate on when I was a kid. WHO KNEW!!!!!!!!! I have an old hoosier cabinet, but only the bottom, wish I had the top too. One of these days I will post that for Vintage Thingie but I will have to clean it off first. :)

  16. Hi Janet,
I just stumbled on to your sight recently. I love finding other WV blogs.
I live in the northern panhandle and have gone to the Homer Laughlin plant several times with my mother. She also collects Fiestaware. I was surprised to see the little bowl in between your pie birds. My mother has one exactly the same but I think a little bigger. It's an old one that we both like.
