I have a small bird quiz for you.
Which birds like peanuts? (these are unsalted raw ones)
Do you think it would be the Cardinals, Juncos or sparrows?
Or perhaps, the doves?
Or the cute little chickadee?
Of course not! It's the Tufted Titmouse! He likes to grab and make a fast get away.
One more for the road. . . or should I say sky ways.
Every bird feeder deserves to have a peanut eater, and we have ours.
Another quiz question.
What bird likes to eat while keeping one foot tucked in under his feathers to keep warm?
We have a Tufted Titmouse at my house. Was surprised to see him, because I didn't think they were indigenous to TN. But we also had a snow owl sighting, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. Cute blog!

Your new camera is da bomb! Great photos, Janet.
ReplyDeleteAt my place it's the crows that like peanuts - and stale tortilla chips. As soon as we put either one out we have a whole gang of them out back - before the squirrels even!
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures Janet! I was sure you were going to show bluejays. I've never seen a titmouse around here. That's a fantastic shot of one with a peanut in it's mouth, ready to fly off!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday!
