I love vintage kitchen gadgets. I have a little display of them here in a room that used to be our laundry room. It is now an area filled with vintage kitchen stuff. They were made so colorful in the old days. What is your favorite kitchen color?
Here are a few more in the corner. . .
that are sitting on top of this little kitchen cabinet.
Here is another little shelf filled with a few of my salt and pepper shakers and my mom's blue creamer on the top.
And everyone needs a mixing bowl with potato mashers
If you are working in the kitchen you need a few colorful aprons to go with your colorful gadgets. . .
Hope you enjoyed looking at a few of my vintage kitchen thingies.
Janet, this is a wonderful collection! I have a collection of egg beaters hanging in my kitchen; some are usuable and some not so nice. Do you use any of these "thingies"? And of course you know I love aprons!
ReplyDeleteGreat Vintage Items!!
ReplyDeleteI got the neatest turquoise egg beater last weekend at a flea market. I'll post a picture someday...so busy.
ReplyDeleteNeat stuff! You have a lot of ice cream scoops. Love the creamer.
ReplyDeleteGreat collection! I envy you the little white shelves.
ReplyDeleteWhat great collections, from the most comforting room in the house. I like to see a pop of red in the kitchen, and have a candy-apple red tea kettle on the stove, along with a wooden tomato plaque with a big red tomato on it!
ReplyDeleteI could never come over for coffee with you! I'd be totally distracted gazing at all those wonderful gadgets! I love kitchen gadgets - you can never have too many, and I love seeing how they have evolved. Wonderful collection!
ReplyDeleteI just love your vintage gadgets display! What a great collection! Thanks so my for sharing! I love it!

Thank you for visiting and commenting at ShabbyTeaParty. Love all the aprons in their pretty colors. Warm Hugs,
ReplyDeleteYou certainly have a big collection of those kitchen helpers.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, Janet! What a collection. I think I have some matches to your salt and pepper shakers :) It's neat that you have a place to display all of those. I have to admit mine are not out for display. I tend to use them, so they're in the kitchen drawer with the rest of my kitchen tools. I bet you use yours too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun collection you've got! I have a couple of the things you have in your first photo that were my mom's or grandmother's - the biscuit cutter with the red knob and I have one of the red things with the handle on the top shelf and have not been sure what it is. I thought perhaps it was to open a jar???
ReplyDeleteHappy VTT!
We have a shop here in Rugby, The Spirit of Red Hill, that always has a sizable offering of vintage kitchen gadgets. I featured them this past September 28. Jim
ReplyDeleteLoved those photos! I'm a vintage kitchen collector, too, but most of mine is here, there and everywhere! Now I want to get that stuff out and display it . . . if I can find it all!
ReplyDeleteI also collect toy kitchen stuff, which I do have displayed. It's so much fun!
I don't know that I have a favorite kitchen color - I like them all - depends on the day and what I'm cooking I guess. Your collection is something. Your Mom's blue creamer is my favorite - right now. ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Janet! You have got a wonderful collection of vintage tools! My goodness, they are beautiful. I love your vintage kitchen, it is so inspiring and brings back many happy memories! Delisa :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments, Janet, on my blogpost and the birthday wishes! Yes, I'm thrilled about Ancestry. My Mom had a subscription to it, and moving away I was no longer able to mooch off her when I visited! She was so sweet to spring for that membership fee for us!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your vintage kitchen things! You are so right--the kitchen in our grandmother's day was so much more colorful! You have a wonderful collection!
I did enjoy!
ReplyDeleteAnd you just gave me an idea of what to do with a cloth calender that I found in my Mom's things. Thank you!!!
Glad I inspired you, Becky. They make great aprons. I don't cut them, but just fold them in at the top a little and sew it down so they have a shape to them and use grosgrain ribbon for the ties and around the neck.
ReplyDeleteI just read a blog called ICEMILK, I think and she makes copies of vintage aprons, very pretty. They come in Ball jars.
ReplyDeleteAnyway I loved your collection. I prefer the red and green handles, harder to find anymore. I have a few. My daughters love them as well. WOnder why?
We got a red handled ice cream scoop a few months back.
So enjoy looking at these things. Thanks for sharing.
Blessings, Barb
Oh I love them all-but espeically the cabinet : )
