Oh Christmas Tree

I put my trees up this past week!

A little one in front of the window in the living room is decorated with candy canes, lollipops, cinnamon cut out ornaments and gum drop ornaments. I posted here last year on how to make the gum drop ornaments. And I posted here on how I made the cinnamon dough ornaments.

And our large one is in front of the sliding glass doors in the family room. First I put all vintage glass ornaments on it and then I just had to add some of my hand made ones.

A happy note. . . two of my sons had birthdays over the weekend.

A sad note. . . my father in law passed away Saturday. He was a wonderful man and will be missed. But he is out of pain now and has gone to a better place. Remember his family in your prayers.

  1. Janet, your trees are pretty. Looks like there are plenty of presents already, too. You are so right about Jim being a wonderful man. I took the boys to see him on Wed. and we all had a good visit, so thankful we got to spend that time with him.

  2. sorry to hear about your father in law - we'll be praying for your family. God Bless You

  3. Your trees are wonderful, and I admire the energy it must take to put up and decorate them! I just saw on another blog where they have 8 trees up!
So sorry for the loss of your FIL.
    Merry Christmas and Happy VCM,

  4. Janet,
So terribly sorry to hear of your FIL"S passing. We also lost a dear friend Saturday, Ruth. Maybe the two shall meet on the way.
I love your blog and have missed it as DH was away and had the modem with him on the road to use with his lap top, so today I am catching up, but need more time........time what is that? Ha Ha
Will be trying to gather the items to make the cinnamon cuties. Your very talented in many areas.

  5. Your trees are so pretty, and to make all those ornaments, where do you find the time?? and so sorry to hear about the loss of your father-in-law...

  6. Your trees are beautiful! So sorry about your FIL~your family is in my prayers.

  7. Like your trees, Jan. Sorry, I forgot to wish the boys a happy birthday. I usually remember them because my birthday is right before theirs. Sorry about Jim's passing, but he is in a place now where there is no more suffering and pain.

  8. Your trees are pretty!
    Happy birthday to your sons!
