You have interests similar to mine. Genealogy is one of them. Wonderful to do a cookbook on family recipes. I will be checking back again to read about your life of writing and genealogy. -- barbaraFolkways Note Bookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07168881905408345126noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3635163323560816578.post-62944015173506356122010-11-09T07:46:17.207-05:002010-11-09T07:46:17.207-05:00Janet, this is wonderful! My husband's paternal ma-maw in KY was well known for her applesauce stack cakes at Christmas time. We tried out her recipe a couple of years ago, lots of work but worth it with every bite~YUM! I think we have much in common.Cozy Home Cottagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04027019843319294911noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3635163323560816578.post-66048144602447699992010-11-08T22:54:27.140-05:002010-11-08T22:54:27.140-05:00Very enjoyable post. I can just like I learned from my mom a nd grandma. How about Blackberry dumplings? I remember grandma making a big kettle of them for dessert on sunday and we would pour cold milk over it in a bowl and eat it. Memories......thank you!!Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05469196553281350775noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3635163323560816578.post-37850619744485769252010-11-08T22:40:05.389-05:002010-11-08T22:40:05.389-05:00Janet, what a wonderful post! None of my family on either side ever canned; so I learned on my own. Hope to pass the knowledge on to my daughter. Will be going to the geneology site to read those recipes!Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14880046224880273404noreply@blogger.com
